The latest i-VTEC® technology, a Drive-by-Wire Throttle System™, 16 valves and 1.8 litres let the all-new Civic engine make 140 peak horses. The power flows through the only 5-speed automatic transmissions in its class. In addition to the benefits of Variable valve Timing and lift Electronic Control (i-VTEC), Civic adds a brilliant new twist. Under light engine loads, this next-generation i-VTEC system delays valve closing and essentially reduces the piston stroke, offering the fuel efficiency of a smaller engine.
